1. Introduction

Welcome to ResuX ("we," "our," or "us"). These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the website located at https://resux.app/ and our AI-powered resume generation services (collectively, the "Service").

By accessing or using ResuX, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree to these Terms, you may not access or use the Service.

2. Account Registration and Security

To access certain features of the Service, you must register for an account.

  • Sign-Up Methods: You may sign up using your Email address or through third-party authentication providers such as Google or GitHub.
  • Account Security: You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials. You are fully responsible for all activities that occur under your account. You agree to notify us immediately of any unauthorized use or security breach.
  • Accuracy: You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information during the registration process.

3. User Content and Intellectual Property

3.1 Ownership

You retain full ownership of the personal data, resume content, and career history you upload or input into ResuX ("User Content"). We claim no ownership rights over your personal career data.

3.2 License to ResuX

By uploading User Content, you grant ResuX a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to use, reproduce, process, and display your User Content solely for the purpose of providing the Service to you (i.e., generating your resume).

3.3 AI Output

While you own the specific input data, the layout, design templates, and AI-generated phrasing provided by ResuX may be subject to our intellectual property rights or the rights of third-party licensors.

4. Acceptable Use

You agree to use ResuX only for lawful purposes. You represent and warrant that you will not:

  • Use the AI to generate fraudulent, misleading, or illegal content.
  • Upload content that infringes on the intellectual property or privacy rights of others.
  • Attempt to reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the ResuX software or AI models.
  • Interfere with or disrupt the integrity or performance of the Service (e.g., DDOS attacks or API abuse).

5. Payment and Subscription Plans

5.1 Free Access / Waitlist

ResuX may currently be offered as a free service or via a "Waitlist" access model. We do not guarantee that the Service will remain free indefinitely.

5.2 Future Paid Tiers

We reserve the right to introduce paid subscription tiers, fees, or charges for certain features in the future. We will provide you with reasonable notice before any such changes take effect. Continued use of the Service after such changes constitutes your agreement to the new pricing.

6. Disclaimers ("As-Is" Clause)

Please read this section carefully.

6.1 No Job Guarantee

ResuX is an AI-powered tool designed to assist in the creation of resumes. We do not guarantee that using our Service will result in a job interview, a job offer, or employment. The job market is subjective, and hiring decisions depend on factors outside our control.

6.2 ATS Compatibility

While we strive to follow industry best practices, we do not guarantee that resumes generated by ResuX will pass every Applicant Tracking System (ATS) or parsing software. ATS algorithms vary significantly between companies.

6.3 Accuracy of AI

The Service utilizes Artificial Intelligence. AI can occasionally produce incorrect, biased, or nonsensical output ("hallucinations"). You are solely responsible for reviewing, editing, and verifying the accuracy of your final resume before submitting it to employers. The Service is provided on an "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" basis without warranties of any kind.

7. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law:

  • Indirect Damages: ResuX shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including without limitation, loss of profits, data, use, goodwill, or other intangible losses.
  • Lost Opportunities: We are not liable for any lost career opportunities, rejected job applications, or employment failures resulting from the use of our Service.
  • Total Liability: In no event shall ResuX’s aggregate liability for all claims related to the Service exceed the amount you paid to ResuX for the Service during the twelve (12) months immediately preceding the claim, or RM100.00 (Malaysian Ringgit), whichever is greater.

8. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account and access to the Service at our sole discretion, without prior notice or liability, for any reason, including but not limited to a breach of these Terms.

Upon termination, your right to use the Service will immediately cease. If you wish to terminate your account, you may simply discontinue using the Service.

9. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Malaysia, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any disputes arising out of or regarding these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts located in Malaysia.

10. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify or replace these Terms at any time. If a revision is material, we will try to provide at least 30 days' notice prior to any new terms taking effect. By continuing to access or use our Service after those revisions become effective, you agree to be bound by the revised terms.
